In July 1985, a new breed of African bees was spotted in America. The African Killer Bees was the result of cross breeding between the African bees and the local wild bees. They are slightly larger in size measuring between 4cm and 5cm long.
It is easy to identify the new breed of killer bees by the yellow stripes on their black skin. They are, in fact, more lethal to other animals and humans, compared to the ordinary wild bees.
However, these bees are known to only attack their preys when they are threatened during courtship; otherwise, they are harmless herbivores.
Their diet of pollen and other pests in the forest, in fact, benefit the overall ecological system and help to preserve other biological forms in its natural habitat.
