Heavenly taste: Fat Boon's signature ABC that comes with Mango and Sago

After a sumptious meal at Chang Cheng 88 Kopitiam or Thong Kee Cafe in Kepong Baru, you can also try out Fat Boon's Ais Kacang.

Go for their Mango and Sago ABC. The flavour from the mango simply blends in well with the shaven ice, served in a bowl.

The stall at this corner of Kepong Baru Hawker street (officially known as Jalan Kepong Baru) gets busy by the moment they are opened at 12.30 noon.

Christine Lee: "Our Mangoes are fresh."

According to Christine Lee, their mango supply is always fresh as the customers flock to the stall throughout the day, especially on a hot day for this signature ABC.

The stall is started by Catherine's father, Lee Chew Boon aka "Fat Boon."

"We started some 26 years ago, and for the past seven years, we have started to sell ais kacang," she said.

Their ABC comes with fried peanuts, sweet corn and yes, gula Melaka instead of the typical Rose syrup.

Another of Fat Boon's specialty is his Yam and Sago Ais Kacang. We like it when the yam is slightly soft and sweet.

So far, the place has received raving reviews about their Ais Kacang. We have not tasted their dishes, so we won't dare to recommend what's good.
