Office politics exist in almost all organizations.
They are the activities performed by workers in these organizations to improve their status and advance their career path.
Sometimes, this is at the expense of others. These selfish actions are informal or rude and could be the reason why politics in the workplace comes with a bad connotation.
However, there are good sides of the activities of office politics. For example, office politics may simply be part of a network.
If you want to succeed in your business, then it may help to better understand politics. Developing skills in office politics can help prevent someone from taking advantage of you. You will also be able to advance your career unhindered.
If we do not learn how to use these skills to our advantage, we may be left far behind in terms of business advancement. I suggest that we do not become a very political person, but to at least be aware of the politics in our office.
In some organisations, there will be Group A and Group B to decide which to support. If you work in a good business environment, both groups will agree to one decision, but if you work in a bad business environment, both teams will not agree to anything.
We can solve business politics by making good friends with co-workers and the boss. The second way to solve business politics is to keep records of your work.
Lastly, but not least, is to not retaliate in the same way that you are treated. For example, if a co-worker tries to take advantage of you, you will be angry right? But if you want to stop business politics in your organization, it is important to be careful to avoid losing your temper or start to quarrel. That is how we manage business politics
