They say, “Persistence pays,” and that was how my father wooed the heart of my mother.
When they first met, it was at Fun Station, a kindergarten near my father’s home. My father had gone to the kindergarten to pick up his friend’s son.
It was love at first sight. That was when my father cast his eyes on my mother. “Something in your Mom caught my attention that day,” he told my brother and I during dinner one night. “I asked for her telephone number.”
After several attempts to woo her, finally my mother agreed to go out on a date with my father. “There were many other men who liked me,” my mother told us, “but your father was persistent and he kept asking. Well, I gave in.”
Their first date was at Mid Valley Megamall. Soon, the chemistry started between the two of them, and before long, they decided to tie the knots.
